Our mission
The Polished Pathway is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by professional model and empowerment educator Katherine Ivana Thrasher.
We exist to empower girls and young women, especially those from underserved communities, to develop confidence, character, leadership, and life-readiness skills that shape self-worth, poise, and purpose.
Through modern etiquette, image development, workshops, and mentorship, we help them own their brilliance, lead with grace, and navigate the world with self-assurance.

An interactive workshop designed to boost confidence and self-esteem through character development, social skills, leadership, healthy friendships, role play, digital awareness, life-readiness, and Q&A.
A refined, interactive tea party experience in partnership with a local tea house, teaching first impressions, table manners, etiquette, tea tips, confidence, and table talk conversations.

Katherine “Kat” Thrasher, founder of The Polished Pathway
Meet the founder
Katherine Thrasher, professionally known as Kat The Model, is a speaker, mentor, and the founder of The Polished Pathway, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and young women through confidence-building, character development, and life-readiness training.
With over a decade in the modeling industry, Kat has walked runways, led campaigns, and represented brands that value both beauty and purpose.
Beyond the runway, Kat is passionate about helping young women develop the confidence, poise, and leadership skills needed to walk boldly into any room.
Through workshops, mentorship, and speaking engagements, she teaches what she lives-confidence, class, and intentional leadership. Kat has been featured in the North American International Auto Show, The BET Fashion Experience, Miami Swim Week, NY Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, VoyageLA, and continues to build a brand rooted in faith, femininity, and purpose.

Our leadership
Chief Operating Officer
Lydia brings more than 15 years of banking and Treasury Management experience, grounded in integrity, service, and leadership. Raised in Southern California, she is deeply guided by her Christian faith and a passion for mentoring young people. Through church ministry and community, she helps the next generation discover their identity, value, and purpose while building authentic connections.
Associate Director
A Detroit native, Terrance is the founder of WE SEE GREATNESS IN YOU, a nonprofit dedicated to service, mentorship, and youth leadership. His background in basketball and community outreach informs programs spanning food assistance, aviation experiences, and support for former gang members. He is passionate about helping people recognize their potential and turn that confidence into meaningful opportunities.
Secretary
Jackelyn brings a background in social services and experience serving and mentoring foster youth. She is passionate about helping young people recognize their worth and reach their full potential. A worship leader, jewelry entrepreneur, and fitness enthusiast, she combines faith, creativity, and compassion with a heart for service, inspiring the next generation to move forward with confidence and purpose.
Treasurer
Curtisha is a business strategist, serial entrepreneur, and founder of Gray Segments. For more than a decade, she has developed digital systems and revenue strategies for entertainers, brands, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations. She brings a talent for turning bold ideas into scalable programs and sustainable revenue, connecting business strategy with measurable community impact and a clear sense of purpose.
